💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Quem conhece a obra deste autor já sabe que ele nos habituou a propostas nada ortodoxas, desafiando constantemente os limites da banda desenhada enquanto meio artístico, e esta não é exceção.

Aqui seguimos o percurso de uma partícula de luz à medida que se desloca entre vários pontos, refletindo-se em diferentes superfícies. O resultado é um efeito visual absolutamente deslumbrante: numa mesma cena, vamos observando o cenário sob múltiplos ângulos e, à medida que a partícula se move entre espaços e perspetivas, uma história vai-se revelando gradualmente.

No entanto, a história não é aqui o elemento mais importante. O simples facto de existir uma narrativa torna o trabalho deste autor ainda mais impressionante, pois não só concebeu uma obra assente num conceito verdadeiramente inovador, como conseguiu simultaneamente contar uma história através dele.

Marc-Antoine Mathieu volta a impressionar e a demonstrar o seu génio criativo. Esta não é uma obra que se leia pela história em si, mas sim pela genialidade da construção visual que o autor apresenta. Nem consigo imaginar o enorme trabalho que terá sido conceptualizar tudo isto.

🇬🇧 Anyone familiar with this author’s work already knows that he has accustomed us to highly unorthodox creations, constantly pushing the boundaries of comics as an artistic medium, and this book is no exception.

Here, we follow the path of a particle of light as it moves between different points, reflecting off various surfaces. The result is a truly spectacular visual effect: within a single scene, we are shown the setting from multiple perspectives and, as the particle travels through different locations and angles, a story gradually unfolds.

However, the story is not the most important element here. The mere fact that there is a narrative makes the author’s achievement even more remarkable, as he not only conceived a work built around a genuinely innovative concept, but also managed to tell a story through it.

Marc-Antoine Mathieu once again impresses and showcases his creative genius. This is not a work to be read for its story alone, but rather for the brilliance of its visual construction. I can hardly imagine the amount of work that must have gone into conceptualising all of this.
