🇵🇹 Acabei de ler isto e senti imediatamente vontade de vir escrever os meus pensamentos.

Já esperava algo especial desta obra desde o momento em que vi o título e a capa, mas nunca sabemos realmente o que vamos encontrar até finalmente a lermos.

Gostei muito. Para uma autora que me parece ainda ser bastante jovem, Helena Sá demonstra já nesta obra uma enorme profundidade e inteligência emocional. As frases são simples, mas acertam como uma flecha no centro do alvo. Honestamente, poderia ter escrito cada uma destas palavras se tivesse o talento da autora. Foi precisamente esse o nível de identificação que senti com aquilo que li.

E depois há o traço: lindo, simples e direto, como se não houvesse uma única linha a mais ou colocada sem necessidade. Apenas o essencial para contar a história e manter o leitor imerso nela.

Até a própria edição é linda! Tem um aspeto quase artesanal. Tudo parece ter sido feito e desenhado à mão, incluindo as próprias páginas de guarda. Sinceramente, se me dissessem que toda a edição tinha sido feita à mão, eu acreditaria. É esse o nível de autenticidade que transmite.

Esta obra venceu o prémio “Autora Revelação” no Maia BD e não me surpreende minimamente. Depois de a ler, é fácil perceber porquê.

🇬🇧 I’ve just finished reading this and immediately felt like coming here to write down my thoughts.

I was already expecting something special from this book the moment I saw the title and the cover, but we never really know what we’re going to find until we finally read it.

I loved it. For an author who seems to be still quite young, Helena Sá already demonstrates an incredible depth and emotional intelligence in this work. The sentences are simple, but they hit the bullseye like an arrow. Honestly, I could have written every single one of these words if I had the author’s talent. That’s how deeply I related to what I read.

And then there’s the artwork: beautiful, simple and direct, as if there isn’t a single unnecessary line or mark. Just what is needed to tell the story and keep the reader completely immersed in it.

Even the edition itself is beautiful! It has an almost handmade feel to it. Everything looks as though it was drawn and crafted by hand, including the endpapers. Honestly, if someone told me the entire edition had been made by hand, I would believe them. That’s how authentic the whole thing feels.

This work won the “New Author Award” at Maia BD, and I’m not surprised in the slightest. After reading it, it’s easy to understand why.
