🇵🇹 Ryohei Arisu e o seu amigo desajeitado, Chota Segawa, são dois jovens boémios e desajustados, incapazes de encontrar o seu lugar na sociedade. Entediados com as suas vidas monótonas, chegam mesmo a desejar um apocalipse zombie que lhes traga alguma emoção.

Numa noite, enquanto bebem no bar de Daikichi Karube, um espetáculo de fogo-de-artifício ilumina o horizonte. No instante seguinte, os três são transportados para uma versão aparentemente deserta de Tóquio.

Sem compreenderem o que aconteceu, rapidamente descobrem que foram escolhidos para participar num mortal jogo de sobrevivência. Para continuarem vivos, terão de enfrentar desafios cada vez mais perigosos. A premissa faz lembrar uma mistura de Battle Royale com Squid Game.

Nesta fase inicial, sabem muito pouco sobre as regras do jogo ou sobre o motivo de terem sido selecionados. No entanto, à medida que conhecem outros participantes, começam a perceber melhor o funcionamento deste mundo e o que será necessário para sobreviver.

Uma leitura muito divertida, repleta de ação, tensão e momentos empolgantes. As personagens são interessantes, os diálogos funcionam bem e a narrativa consegue manter o leitor constantemente envolvido.

🇬🇧 Ryohei Arisu and his clumsy friend, Chota Segawa, are two bohemian misfits who struggle to find their place in society. Bored with their mundane lives, they even find themselves wishing for a zombie apocalypse to bring some excitement into their world.

One night, while drinking at Daikichi Karube’s bar, a spectacular display of fireworks lights up the horizon. Moments later, the three friends find themselves transported to what appears to be a deserted version of Tokyo.

Without understanding what has happened, they soon discover that they have been chosen to participate in a deadly survival game. To stay alive, they must face increasingly dangerous challenges. The premise feels like a blend of Battle Royale and Squid Game.

At first, they know very little about the nature of the game or why they were selected. However, as they meet other players, they gradually begin to understand how this strange world works and what it takes to survive.

A highly entertaining read packed with action, tension, and exciting moments. The characters are engaging, the dialogue is solid, and the story does an excellent job of keeping readers invested throughout.
