💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 É difícil escolher títulos favoritos entre os álbuns de MSP, porque são tantos e tão bons, mas Penadinho sempre teve um lugar especial no meu coração. É, sem dúvida, um dos títulos que mais gosto de ver ser lançado dentro da coleção.

Visualmente, este álbum de Penadinho está simplesmente brutal. Os autores fizeram um trabalho irrepreensível. Tanto a arte como o uso da cor contribuem de forma decisiva para a criação do tom certo para a obra. A arte da Mãe Morte, em particular, está excelente.

Já a história deixou-me dividido. Achei-a algo estranha e pouco clara, não me convenceu totalmente. Tive dificuldade em perceber exactamente onde os autores queriam chegar com a narrativa. Sendo certo que as histórias desta coleção tendem a ser relativamente simples, costumam ainda assim apresentar alguma lição ou reflexão, algo que aqui me pareceu menos evidente.

Ainda assim, trata-se de mais um álbum bastante sólido de Penadinho.

🇬🇧 It’s difficult to choose favourite titles among the MSP albums, because there are so many great ones, but Penadinho has always held a special place in my heart. It is undoubtedly one of the titles I most enjoy seeing released within the collection.

Visually, this Penadinho album is simply stunning. The creators have done an impeccable job. Both the artwork and the use of colour contribute greatly to establishing the perfect tone for the book. I especially loved the depiction of Mother Death.

As for the story, I felt rather conflicted. I found it somewhat strange and not entirely convincing. It felt a bit confusing, and I struggled to understand exactly where the authors wanted to take the narrative. While it’s true that stories in this collection are usually fairly simple, they almost always carry some kind of moral or takeaway, and here I had difficulty identifying anything of that sort.

Even so, it remains another very solid Penadinho album.
