💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Esta pareceu-me, até agora, a aventura mais arrojada da série: repleta de personagens interessantes e de momentos genuinamente divertidos.

É aqui que Astérix e Obélix visitam Roma pela primeira vez, onde surgem as lutas de gladiadores e onde ocorre o primeiro encontro com os piratas. Ao mesmo tempo, começam a surgir algumas das piadas que se tornam recorrentes, como a “delicadeza” de Obélix no trato com as portas.

Também não me recordo de outro álbum anterior em que os nossos dois amigos tenham despachado tantos legionários romanos.

🇬🇧 This struck me as, so far, the boldest adventure in the series: filled with interesting characters and genuinely amusing moments.

This is where Asterix and Obelix visit Rome for the first time, where the gladiator fights take place, and where they encounter the pirates for the first time. At the same time, some of the recurring jokes begin to appear, such as Obelix’s “delicacy” when dealing with doors.

I also cannot recall any earlier album in which our two friends dispatched so many Roman legionaries.
