🇵🇹 Finalmente, chegámos à tão aguardada conclusão desta fabulosa série!

Enquanto lia este último volume, não deixava de pensar no quão próximos da realidade estão muitos dos eventos retratados. Tudo parece tão ridículo — e ao mesmo tempo tão verosímil — que chega a ser assustador perceber como a população, no geral, engole mentiras com tanta facilidade e se deixa iludir por manipuladores habilidosos. É verdadeiramente impressionante e, para mim, revela o quão longe ainda estamos de ser uma civilização genuinamente inteligente.

Este volume oferece-nos mais momentos tensos e emocionais, como a série já nos habituou. Não posso dizer que tenha apreciado todas as decisões criativas dos autores, mas, independentemente disso, é um excelente desfecho — sólido, emotivo e capaz de deixar saudades a quem o acompanhou até aqui.

É uma série de leitura obrigatória, por abordar algo tão fundamental como a liberdade e o direito de existir sem opressão. Infelizmente, este não é um problema confinado ao passado; continua a existir em muitas partes do mundo e poderá regressar com força no futuro, se não soubermos proteger aquilo que conquistámos.

Lutar contra a opressão exige coragem e força de vontade. Muitos escolhem o caminho da passividade por ser mais cómodo, mas é precisamente essa resignação que abre a porta ao regresso das trevas. Nesse aspecto, a Miss B. foi uma verdadeira gigante ao longo de toda a série.

While reading this final volume, I kept thinking about how close many of the events feel to reality. Everything seems so absurd — and yet so believable — that it’s almost frightening to realise how easily people, in general, swallow lies and allow themselves to be misled by skilful manipulators. It’s truly striking and, to me, a clear sign of how far we still are from being a genuinely intelligent civilisation.

This volume gives us more tense and emotional moments, as the series has consistently done. I can’t say I agreed with every creative decision made by the authors, but regardless of that, it’s undoubtedly an excellent ending — solid, emotional, and one that will certainly leave readers missing this world.

This is an essential series to read, as it tackles something as fundamental as freedom and the right to exist without oppression. Sadly, this is not an issue confined to the past; it still exists in many parts of the world and may return with force in the future if we don’t take care of what we’ve achieved.

Standing up to oppression requires tremendous courage and determination. Many choose the path of passivity because it’s more comfortable, but it is precisely that resignation that paves the way back to darker times. And in that regard, Miss B. was a true giant throughout the entire series.
