💭 My Thoughts:

🇬🇧 Ever since I read all of Shūzō Oshimi’s work available in the West, I’ve been searching for authors with a similar style — and I must say, Ryo Minenami is by far the closest I’ve found.

The frequent comparisons between this work and “Blood on the Tracks” are understandable, especially regarding the relationship between Reiji and his mother. However, unlike Oshimi’s story, the web of human relationships here is much more complex, with each one carrying its own distinct characteristics.

In this volume, the author continues to explore the impact of recent events on the various characters, with a particular focus on Chako.

🇵🇹 Desde que li toda a obra de Shūzō Oshimi disponível no Ocidente, tenho procurado autores com um estilo semelhante — e devo dizer que Ryo Minenami é, sem dúvida, o mais próximo que encontrei até hoje.

As comparações recorrentes entre esta obra e “Blood on the Tracks” são compreensíveis, sobretudo na relação entre Reiji e a mãe. No entanto, ao contrário do título de Oshimi, aqui a teia de relações humanas é bem mais complexa, e cada uma delas carrega características muito próprias.

Neste volume, o autor continua a explorar os impactos dos acontecimentos recentes nas diferentes personagens, com especial destaque para Chako.
