🇵🇹 Mais uma leitura dececionante.

Tentei mesmo encontrar uma razão para dar 3 estrelas a este livro, mas no fim não consegui justificá-lo.

Não é tão mau como Multiverse, Vol. 1 — o último que li —, mas continua a ser bastante fraco.

Se esta história não usasse as personagens e o universo de MOTU, ninguém lhe prestaria atenção. A única coisa que lhe dá algum interesse mínimo é o facto de recorrer a esta propriedade intelectual, mas isso, por si só, não chega para criar uma boa história.

Tudo nisto parece preguiçoso — tão preguiçoso que me irritou. Não percebo esta obsessão constante de tornar o Skeletor e o He-Man maiores do que já são. Os fãs gostam das versões clássicas. Esta tentativa de os engrandecer soa apenas a uma forma fraca de compensar uma narrativa pobre, e não resulta.

Acho que vou fazer uma pausa nestas histórias por algum tempo. Uma desilusão.

🇬🇧 Another disappointing read.

I genuinely tried to find a reason to give this one a 3-star rating, but in the end, I just couldn’t justify it.

It’s not as bad as Multiverse, Vol. 1—the last one I read—but it’s still pretty weak.

If this story didn’t use the MOTU characters and universe, no one would give it a second glance. The only thing that gives it any minimal appeal is the intellectual property it’s clinging to, and that alone isn’t enough to make a story worthwhile.

Everything about this feels lazy—so lazy, it actually got on my nerves. I don’t understand this constant obsession with making Skeletor and He-Man larger than life. Fans like their classic versions. This inflated approach just feels like a poor attempt to compensate for weak storytelling, and it doesn’t work.

I think I’ll be taking a break from these stories for a while. Disappointing.
