📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 18 – Gohan vs. Cell📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 The tournament organized by Cell has begun, and Son Goku is the first to face him. Although he knows he isn’t strong enough to defeat Cell, Goku is certain that among them there is someone capable of doing so. It’s also here that the character Mr. Satan makes his first appearance—a true source of laughter. A frantic and thrilling read from start to finish.

Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 16 – The Room of Spirit and Time
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 16 – The Room of Spirit and Time📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Cell has already absorbed one of the Androids, becoming more powerful than them. Vegeta and Trunks return immensely strengthened after spending a year training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, even surpassing Cell himself. However, in his boundless arrogance, Vegeta allows the enemy to complete his final transformation, making him now far stronger than Vegeta. Meanwhile, Son Goku and Son Gohan also begin their training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. — 🇵🇹 Cell já conseguiu absorver um dos Androids,…

Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 15: The Terror of Cell
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 15: The Terror of Cell📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Our friends now face a new threat: Cell. Cell is an enemy shared by both Son Goku and his friends, as well as the Androids. Former foes have suddenly found themselves fighting side by side. Search and Destroy – Vol. 2

Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 14: Rise of the Machines
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 14: Rise of the Machines📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 The feared Androids are now active and on the loose, ready to cause destruction. Son Goku is still recovering from his illness, and it seems none of his friends are strong enough to face this new threat. However, these Androids don’t seem to be as dangerous as Trunks had warned. Meanwhile, a new discovery is made, leaving a mystery hanging in the air, to be unraveled in the upcoming volumes.

Astra Lost in Space, Vol. 3

Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 13 – The Red Ribbon Androids
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 13 – The Red Ribbon Androids📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 The Androids have arrived, ready to destroy the planet — but our heroes are prepared to face them. All except Son Goku. Just as Trunks had warned, his heart disease strikes, forcing him out of the battle early. Fortunately, Vegeta — now fighting alongside the others, though still very much an anti-hero — has been training relentlessly. He reveals his own transformation into a Super Saiyan and effortlessly overpowers the two Androids. But then Trunks returns… and delivers a shocking…

Demon Slayer, Vol. 20

Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 12 – Enter Trunks
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 12 – Enter Trunks📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Freezer has been defeated by Son Goku, but as usual, Goku showed him mercy in the end, allowing him to escape—badly wounded. Now, Freezer is back, determined to conquer Earth. But just as chaos is about to unfold, a mysterious warrior appears and defeats both Freezer and his father in a matter of seconds. This unknown fighter then warns Goku and his friends: in three years, a new and powerful threat will emerge—and they must be ready for it. — 🇵🇹 Freezer…

O Meu Casamento Feliz – Vol. 4

Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 5
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 5📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Our heroes give everything they have to defeat Freeza, but none of their efforts seem to work. Everything changes when, in a moment of pure rage after the death of one of his companions, Son Goku transforms — for the first time — into a Super Saiyan. From that moment on, Goku’s power clearly surpasses Freeza’s, and it becomes only a matter of time before the battle comes to an end. In the end, our friends return to Earth together with…

Battle Royale – Vol. 5

Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 4
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 4📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 The long-awaited battle against Freeza finally begins. While Son Goku recovers from the injuries sustained during the fight against Freeza’s elite squad, our heroes — Son Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo — join forces with Vegeta in a desperate attempt to buy time. Freeza unveils his powerful transformations one by one, displaying overwhelming strength that seems too much even for the now fully recovered Son Goku. — 🇵🇹 A tão aguardada luta contra Freezer começa finalmente. Enquanto Son Goku recupera dos ferimentos…

The Fable – Vol. 03

Boy’s Abyss, Vol. 9
📚 Book Review: Boy’s Abyss, Vol. 9📖 Author(s): Ryo Minenami 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 While reading this volume, I realized how dark the main characters in this story have become. Seeing where they started and where they are now really shows how life — and certain events — can change us. Even the most light-hearted soul can turn somber under the weight of experience. I have to admit, the path these characters are taking is starting to get to me. It’s painful, unsettling… but deeply human. I’m afraid not all of them will make it to the end of this…

Flash Point

Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 3
📚 Book Review: Dragon Ball Full Color – Freeza Arc, Vol. 3📖 Author(s): Akira Toriyama 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Son Goku finally arrives on Namek and confronts Freeza’s soldiers. With the exception of the squad captain, none of them pose a real challenge for Goku. Meanwhile, as Freeza tries to uncover the secret to activating the Dragon Balls and making his wishes, Krillin and Son Gohan, with Dende’s help, manage to summon Namek’s Dragon. Together, they use the first wish to resurrect Piccolo and the second to bring him to Namek, strengthening the resistance against Freeza. — 🇵🇹 Son Goku chega…

Boy’s Abyss, Vol. 8
📚 Book Review: Boy’s Abyss, Vol. 8📖 Author(s): Ryo Minenami 💭 My Thoughts: 🇬🇧 Ever since I read all of Shūzō Oshimi’s work available in the West, I’ve been searching for authors with a similar style — and I must say, Ryo Minenami is by far the closest I’ve found. The frequent comparisons between this work and “Blood on the Tracks” are understandable, especially regarding the relationship between Reiji and his mother. However, unlike Oshimi’s story, the web of human relationships here is much more complex, with each one carrying its own distinct characteristics. In this volume, the author continues…
