🇵🇹 Comprei esta BD há quase 4 anos e, tal como um bom vinho, esteve a amadurecer na estante até chegar o momento certo de a saborear — e que bem que soube!

Earl Tubb é um sulista do Alabama que regressa à antiga casa do pai para tratar dos pertences do seu tio recentemente falecido. Voltar à terra natal era a última coisa que queria, mas não tem alternativa. Pelo caminho, cruza-se com um velho conhecido envolvido com o gang local, que pouco depois aparece brutalmente espancado até à morte.

Earl é um tipo duro, mas com um forte sentido de justiça. Perante esta situação, não consegue ficar indiferente e, já que o xerife local se mostra incapaz de agir, decide fazer justiça pelas próprias mãos.

Ao ler isto, é impossível não sentir a falta que faz uma G. Floy mais activa no nosso mercado, já que foi graças a esta editora que muita da melhor BD americana independente chegou até nós.

Um excelente primeiro volume, que me deixa com vontade de pegar já no próximo.

🇬🇧 I bought this comic almost four years ago and, like a fine wine, it sat ageing on my shelf until the right moment to savour it — and it was well worth the wait!

Earl Tubb is a southerner from Alabama who returns to his father’s old house to sort through the belongings of his recently deceased uncle. Going back to his hometown was the last thing he wanted, but he has no choice. Along the way, he runs into an old acquaintance involved with the local gang, who shortly after turns up brutally beaten to death.

Earl is a tough man, but with a strong sense of justice. Faced with this situation, he can’t look the other way and, since the local sheriff proves incapable of acting, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

Reading this makes me realise how much the market misses a more active G. Floy, as it was thanks to this publisher that a lot of the best American independent comics reached us.

An excellent first volume that leaves me eager to pick up the next one right away.
