💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Depois de ter adorado o primeiro volume desta nova série, confesso que aqui senti o entusiasmo a esmorecer à medida que avançava na leitura.

A arte de Momoko continua a ser refrescante de contemplar, mas a nível da narrativa pareceu-me haver uma quebra considerável de qualidade.

Se no volume inicial havia um foco claro nas personagens e no seu desenvolvimento — fossem elas novas ou versões reinterpretadas de figuras já conhecidas —, aqui senti essa dimensão muito diluída. O destaque recai mais sobre o avanço da narrativa, mas sem a solidez necessária para a sustentar.

Entre jovens mutantes a lidar com os seus poderes e identidade, e a introdução de uma seita denominada “Os Filhos dos Átomos”, o conceito até é interessante, mas a execução revela-se confusa e pouco estruturada.

🇬🇧 After really enjoying the first volume of this new series, I have to admit that my enthusiasm started to fade as I progressed through this one.

Momoko’s artwork remains refreshing to look at, but in terms of narrative, it felt like a noticeable drop in quality.

Where the first volume placed a strong emphasis on the characters and their development — whether they were new or fresh takes on familiar figures — that aspect feels largely diluted here. The focus shifts more toward pushing the plot forward, but without the necessary cohesion to support it.

Between young mutants struggling with their powers and identity, and the introduction of a sect called “The Children of the Atom,” the concept itself is interesting, but the execution comes across as overly confusing and lacking solid structure.
