🇵🇹 Bem, este policial seria capaz de surpreender até Agatha Christie, a rainha do género.

Confesso que não me recordo de outra leitura em que se acumulassem tantas perguntas para que apenas no final tudo fosse revelado. É certo que isso é comum nos policiais, mas aqui senti que o livro leva o leitor ao extremo, ao ponto de começar a ficar algo aborrecido com a falta de esclarecimentos e até a questionar se viria realmente a obter as respostas que procurava.

No final, tudo se resolve e passa a fazer sentido, deixando-nos verdadeiramente de boca aberta — mas é uma longa travessia pelo deserto até lá chegarmos.

I honestly can’t recall another book where so many questions are piled up only for everything to be revealed at the very end. That’s common in crime fiction, of course, but here it felt pushed to the extreme, to the point where I started to feel somewhat frustrated by the lack of answers and even wondered whether I would actually get the explanations I was looking for.

In the end, everything is resolved and makes sense, leaving you genuinely stunned — but it’s a long trek through the desert before you get there.
