🇵🇹 Mais um grande lançamento da ASA.

Nesta obra, Romain Renard traz-nos uma abordagem muito pessoal a personagens de um dos grandes clássicos do western europeu: Comanche.

Visualmente, o livro é simplesmente fabuloso, com painéis que parecem autênticas fotografias. Aliás, cheguei a questionar-me se não serão mesmo fotografias trabalhadas, tal é o destaque dos fundos em contraste com o desenho das personagens, criando um efeito visual extremamente eficaz.

A história também me conquistou. Red Dust é o arquétipo do americano durão, alguém capaz de mover montanhas, preso ao passado e profundamente desligado do mundo atual.

No final, mesmo sem conhecer a obra original, fiquei com uma enorme curiosidade e vontade de a ir ler, o que diz muito da força e do impacto deste livro.

In this book, Romain Renard offers a very personal take on characters from one of the great classics of European westerns: Comanche.

Visually, the work is simply fabulous, with panels that look like authentic photographs. In fact, I even found myself wondering whether they might actually be reworked photographs, such is the prominence of the backgrounds in contrast with the character drawings, creating a highly effective visual impact.

I also loved the story. Red Dust is the archetypal tough American, someone capable of moving mountains, trapped in the past and deeply disconnected from the modern world.

By the end, even without knowing the original work, I was left with a strong curiosity and a real desire to read it, which says a lot about the strength and impact of this book.
