🇵🇹 Esta é uma adaptação bastante diferente da “Odisseia” lançada pela Levoir em 2020.

Enquanto essa edição procurava ser uma versão de leitura mais acessível, contida nas tradicionais cerca de 50 páginas das obras franco-belgas, esta aposta numa abordagem muito mais extensa e claramente mais fiel ao texto original, recorrendo a cerca de 250 páginas para desenvolver a narrativa.

Pessoalmente, gostei de ambas e vejo valor nas duas propostas. Se o objectivo for conhecer a história sem um grande investimento de tempo, a edição da Levoir é a opção mais indicada. Já para quem procura uma adaptação mais próxima da obra original, com maior detalhe narrativo e uma arte de inspiração mais clássica, esta é claramente a melhor escolha.

O texto apresenta um ligeiro tom antiquado, pensado para se enquadrar melhor na obra, mas de forma muito leve e subtil. Lê-se sem dificuldades, estando bastante longe daquele português excessivamente arcaico que se encontra em algumas adaptações de banda desenhada de obras clássicas.

No geral, trata-se de uma boa adaptação para quem procura uma abordagem mais clássica e fiel ao texto original.

While that edition aimed to be a more accessible read, contained within the traditional ~50 pages typical of Franco-Belgian works, this one takes a much more expansive approach and is clearly more faithful to the original text, using around 250 pages to develop the narrative.

Personally, I liked both and see value in each approach. If the goal is to get to know the story without investing too much time, the Levoir edition is the better option. However, if you’re interested in a version that stays closer to the original work, with more narrative detail and a more classical art style, this is clearly the better choice.

The text itself has a slight antiquated tone to better match the source material, but it’s handled in a very light and subtle way. It reads smoothly and is far removed from the overly archaic Portuguese found in some comic adaptations of older literary works.

Overall, this is a solid adaptation for readers looking for something more classical and more faithful to the original work.
