🇵🇹 Que obra deliciosa e tão original!

Aqui acompanhamos a vida de um casal que, num determinado dia, decide dividir tarefas: o homem fica em casa a lavar a enorme pilha de loiça acumulada, enquanto a mulher vai rapidamente ao supermercado comprar algumas coisas de que precisam — algo que, à partida, não deveria demorar muito.

A partir daí, desenrola-se toda uma aventura em que assistimos ao curso dos acontecimentos alternando constantemente entre a realidade e aquilo que vai na cabeça de cada um dos membros do casal. É precisamente esta alternância — esta janela aberta para a mente de ambos, em paralelo com o desenrolar dos factos — que torna a obra tão divertida, inventiva e original.

Por fim, trata-se também de uma obra que nos mostra como a nossa mente pode facilmente tornar-se o nosso pior inimigo e como o destino é, tantas vezes, irónico e cruel, colocando-nos em situações que são autênticas ratoeiras, das quais só nos apercebemos quando já é tarde demais.

🇬🇧 What a delightful and wonderfully original work!

Here we follow the life of a couple who, on a given day, decide to divide up their tasks: the man stays at home to wash an enormous pile of dirty dishes, while the woman quickly heads to the supermarket to buy a few things they need — something that, in theory, should not take very long.

From that point on, a whole adventure unfolds, as we witness the progression of events constantly alternating between reality and what is going on inside the minds of each member of the couple. It is precisely this alternation — this window into both minds, running in parallel with the unfolding of reality — that makes the work so fun, inventive, and original.

Ultimately, this is also a work that shows how easily our own mind can become our worst enemy, and how fate is so often ironic and cruel, placing us in situations that are genuine traps, which we only fully realise at the end, when it is already too late.

I really enjoyed it!
