🇵🇹 De vez em quando surge um livro que reacende em mim a lembrança do porquê de gostar tanto de ler banda desenhada — e de porque considero este um meio tão poderoso para contar histórias. O Homem Rabiscado é um desses casos.

Logo nas primeiras páginas percebe-se que temos nas mãos uma obra de grande qualidade, com uma arte e uma escrita de excelência. Toda a experiência tem um carácter fortemente cinematográfico; seria fácil imaginar esta história adaptada ao grande ecrã.

Quanto ao enredo, admito que algumas pessoas poderão achar o final um pouco anticlimático — algo difícil de explicar sem revelar demasiado —, mas, sinceramente, a viagem é tão envolvente ao longo do livro que esse detalhe acaba por importar pouco.

Uma das melhores leituras que tive recentemente. Não consegui largá-lo até ao fim, e quando não o estava a ler, só pensava em voltar a mergulhar nele.

From the very first pages, it’s clear that this is a work of remarkable quality, with excellent writing and artwork. The whole experience feels highly cinematic; you could easily imagine this story being adapted into a film.

As for the plot, I admit that some readers might find the ending a bit anticlimactic — something hard to explain without giving away spoilers — but honestly, the journey throughout the book is so engaging that the less impactful ending didn’t bother me at all.

One of the best reads I’ve had recently. I couldn’t put it down until the end, and when I wasn’t reading it, I kept thinking about going back to it.
