💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Resolvi adquirir este livro por ser um dos poucos nomeados do Amadora BD 2025 que ainda não tinha lido.

Gosto de histórias contemporâneas, realistas, centradas no dia-a-dia, e por isso tinha boas expectativas em relação a este título.

Infelizmente, acabei por não gostar tanto quanto esperava. A arte foi o que mais me agradou — caótica, única, mas eficaz — embora por vezes seja um pouco difícil distinguir algumas personagens.

O ponto menos positivo, para mim, foram as histórias. Não senti grande ligação com a maioria delas e até me senti algo afastado pela forma de linguagem utilizada. Ainda assim, nas poucas em que consegui criar empatia, gostei bastante.

🇬🇧 I decided to get this book because it was one of the few nominees for Amadora BD 2025 that I hadn’t read yet.

I enjoy contemporary, realistic stories focused on everyday life, so I had good expectations for this title.

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d hoped. The artwork was my favourite part — chaotic, unique, yet effective — although at times it can be a bit difficult to tell some of the characters apart.

The weaker point for me was the stories. I didn’t feel much connection with most of them and even felt somewhat detached from the way the language was used. Still, in the few where I did connect, I really liked them.
