🇵🇹 Finalmente chegou a muito aguardada continuação desta fantástica história assinada por Zidrou e Frank Pé.

Antes de mais, é impossível não destacar a arte deslumbrante de Frank Pé — uma das coisas mais belas que tive o prazer de apreciar recentemente. Os planos magníficos, os cenários detalhados, a energia e a vida que cada painel irradia… tudo revela um domínio absoluto da linguagem da banda desenhada. É, sem dúvida, do melhor que esta indústria tem para oferecer.

Quanto à narrativa, Zidrou entrega-nos uma história repleta de ternura — a amizade entre um rapaz e os animais, a sua luta incansável para salvar aquele que viria a batizar, com tanto carinho, de Marsupilami.

Os momentos finais são de uma tensão de cortar à faca, por motivos que prefiro não revelar aqui.

Achei particularmente interessante o enredo romântico entre o Professor Boniface e a mãe do jovem. A certa altura, dei por mim a querer avisá-lo do risco que corria ao seguir esse caminho — e, tal como suspeitava, o desfecho acabou por confirmar as minhas expectativas, deixando-me dividido entre a tristeza e a simpatia pelo destino do professor.

Em suma, trata-se de uma obra de topo — uma das mais belas e emocionantes criações da banda desenhada europeia contemporânea.

🇬🇧 The long-awaited continuation of this fantastic story by Zidrou and Frank Pé has finally arrived.

First of all, it’s impossible not to highlight the stunning artwork of Frank Pé — one of the most beautiful things I’ve had the pleasure of admiring recently. The magnificent compositions, the detailed scenery, the sheer energy and life that every panel radiates… it all shows a masterful command of the language of comics. It’s truly among the very best this medium has to offer.

As for the story, Zidrou delivers a narrative full of tenderness — the friendship between a boy and the animals, his tireless struggle to save the one he affectionately names Marsupilami.

The final moments are filled with knife-cutting tension, for reasons I’d rather not reveal here.

I also found the romantic subplot between Professor Boniface and the boy’s mother particularly interesting. At one point, I even caught myself wanting to warn him about the danger of following that path — and, as I suspected, the outcome confirmed my expectations, leaving me torn between sadness and sympathy for the professor.

All in all, this is a top-tier work — one of the most beautiful and emotionally rich creations in contemporary European comics.
