🇵🇹 Esta foi uma leitura com altos e baixos, e estive mesmo perto de lhe dar apenas 3 estrelas.

Concluímos aqui a saga Recharge, que vinha do volume anterior. Não foi uma história espectacular, mas também não foi má. Fiquei a conhecer alguns conceitos do universo dos Lanternas que ainda não conhecia.

Depois vem a parte menos conseguida: a fase a solo de Hal Jordan como Lanterna Verde. Começa com aquele dilema clássico dos super-heróis, em que fazem uma introspeção sobre o passado, os erros cometidos e o rumo a seguir, abordando um pouco as suas origens — um tema tão gasto que já não me desperta grande interesse. Prefiro ler boas aventuras, e não estar constantemente a revisitar estas lamentações repetidas até à exaustão nos comics de super-heróis.

Felizmente, a leitura melhora com a introdução dos Caçadores Cósmicos, e o volume acaba por recuperar algum fôlego, depois de um início algo tremido.

🇬🇧 This was a read with its ups and downs, and I was very close to giving it only 3 stars.

Here we wrap up the Recharge saga, carried over from the previous volume. It wasn’t an outstanding story, but it wasn’t bad either. I got to learn a few concepts from the Lanterns’ universe that I didn’t know before.

Then comes the weaker part: Hal Jordan’s solo run as Green Lantern. It begins with that classic superhero dilemma — an introspection on the past, the mistakes made, and which path to follow, touching once again on his origins. It’s such an overused theme that it no longer interests me. I’d rather read good adventures than constantly go through the same self-pity that’s endlessly repeated in superhero comics.

Fortunately, things pick up with the introduction of the Cosmic Hunters, and the volume regains some momentum after a somewhat shaky start.
