💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Comprei este livro na última Feira do Livro do Porto. A aura misteriosa e assombrosa que a capa transmite despertou de imediato o meu interesse. Tenho um fascínio especial por estes temas do Wendigo, Big Foot, Sasquatch, entre outros.

Foi também a primeira obra de Nunsky que tive o prazer de ler, apesar de já ter várias outras na lista de espera. Desde as primeiras páginas fiquei rendido ao traço do autor — sombrio, realista e absolutamente perfeito para uma obra deste género. As florestas que desenha são de uma beleza impressionante, talvez das mais belas que já vi retratadas em banda desenhada.

Quanto à narrativa, trata-se aparentemente de uma adaptação de outra obra. É uma história sombria que dá vida aos mitos enraizados nesta região do mundo, cuja natureza inóspita e isolamento tornam tão fácil influenciar e perturbar a mente dos viajantes.

O resultado é uma leitura envolvente, carregada de suspense, que nos mantém em tensão do início ao fim.

🇬🇧 I bought this book at the last Porto Book Fair. The mysterious and haunting aura of the cover immediately caught my attention. I’ve always been fascinated by themes such as the Wendigo, Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and the like.

This was also my first experience reading a work by Nunsky, although I already have several others on my to-read list. From the very first pages, I was captivated by the author’s artwork — dark, realistic, and absolutely perfect for a story of this kind. The forests he depicts are breathtaking, perhaps some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen illustrated in comics.

As for the narrative, it appears to be an adaptation of another work. It’s a dark tale that brings to life the myths deeply rooted in this part of the world, whose inhospitable nature and isolation make it easy to unsettle and influence the minds of travelers.

The result is a gripping read, full of suspense, that keeps you on edge from start to finish.
