💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Já suspeitava que esta franchise (G.I. Joe) seria, provavelmente, a mais difícil de integrar neste novo universo Energon — e mais uma vez, isso fica evidente aqui.

A arte não me conquistou. Não é má, longe disso, mas não me pareceu o traço mais adequado para uma história de guerra e espionagem. Achei-a demasiado juvenil, o que acaba por colidir com o tom que se espera deste tipo de narrativa.

Quanto à história, também não é propriamente fraca. Começa sem grande chama, ao ponto de eu temer o pior, mas felizmente vai ganhando fôlego à medida que avança, acabando por se tornar numa leitura bastante sólida.

Estes spin-offs de G.I. Joe não têm sido maus, mas continuam, para já, bastante aquém da qualidade que vimos em “Void Rivals” e “Transformers”.

The artwork didn’t win me over. It’s not bad, far from it, but I don’t think it’s the most suitable style for a story of war and espionage. It felt too juvenile, clashing with the tone one would expect from this kind of narrative.

As for the story itself, it’s not exactly weak. It starts off without much spark — to the point where I feared the worst — but thankfully it gains momentum as it progresses, ending up as a fairly solid read.

These G.I. Joe spin-offs haven’t been bad, but for now, they’re still far from the quality seen in “Void Rivals” and “Transformers”.
