📚 Book Review: Last Call #2
📖 Author(s): Gonçalo Fernandes
💭 My Thoughts:

🇬🇧 I must admit I still struggle a bit with these 32-page issues. It’s not a format I usually read, even though I know it’s the traditional American model where stories are typically released first.
In truth, there’s nothing negative I can say about this issue — quite the opposite. Gonçalo’s art is excellent: I love the linework, the level of detail, the dynamism… everything. The stories are simple, yes, but engaging and fun to read. And just to be clear, when I say “simple” I don’t mean that in a bad way — quite the opposite. Often, it’s when things get too complicated that you lose the reader. Personally, I appreciate a well-told, straightforward story.
In the end, it just leaves you wanting more — but that’s only because it’s so good, and because I’m used to consuming stories in larger doses.
For the format it is, I honestly don’t think it could be done any better. Congratulations!
