📚 Book Review: O Fogo
📖 Author(s): David Rubín
💭 My Thoughts:
Adorei!

🇬🇧 Ever since I saw this book being announced, I was immediately curious. I love stories about the end of the world, but this book turned out to be much more than that.
First of all, it’s impossible not to highlight David Rubín’s artwork — absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. A real feast for the eyes. If, like me, you’re drawn in by the art from the very first pages of a comic, then this one starts off on the right foot.
Rubín takes us on a powerful narrative about creation and the end of time. It’s a journey that impressed me in many ways. However, it’s important to mention that this book might not be quite what it seems at first glance. The first part focuses on the looming threat to the planet and humanity’s efforts to survive, but as the story unfolds, that focus shifts. It becomes more intimate, centering on the protagonist, who, faced with the inevitable end, embarks on a deep introspective journey through his life and the paths he’s taken.
A fabulous story, enriched by a beautiful edition from Ala dos Livros.
I loved it!
