💭 My Thoughts:

🇵🇹 Já faz bastante tempo que vi a primeira temporada de Stranger Things, mas ainda me lembro bem do enredo geral.

Aqui, basicamente, vemos o que não foi mostrado na série. Enquanto na série acompanhamos a busca pelo desaparecido Will Byers, neste livro seguimos o próprio Will no Upside Down, a fugir da criatura que o persegue até ser resgatado.

Poderia ser um complemento interessante, mas, sinceramente, não acrescenta absolutamente nada. A história carece de personalidade e caráter próprios, limitando-se a reciclar a familiaridade da série e das suas personagens.

Parece-me um livro feito sobretudo para capitalizar sobre o sucesso da série. Apenas para fãs hardcore, a meu ver.

🇬🇧 It’s been quite a while since I watched the first season of Stranger Things, but I still remember the general plot well.

This book essentially shows us what wasn’t on screen. While the series follows the search for the missing Will Byers, here we see Will himself in the Upside Down, running from the creature that hunts him until he is rescued.

It could have been an interesting addition, but honestly, it doesn’t add anything of real value. The story lacks personality and character of its own, relying solely on the familiarity of the series and its characters.

To me, this feels like a book made primarily to cash in on the show’s success. Strictly for hardcore fans.
