🇵🇹 Abordei este livro com alguma hesitação, já que inicialmente não estava a gostar muito. Apesar de parecer direcionado para um público mais jovem, a história revela-se surpreendentemente complexa, tornando-a igualmente adequada para leitores mais maduros.

Em essência, a trama acompanha quatro pessoas enviadas para o Heartbreak Hotel, uma entidade que existe fora do espaço e do tempo, onde enfrentam as suas desilusões amorosas. Depois de curados, podem voltar à vida real sem que ninguém perceba que estiveram ausentes.

No entanto, a história é muito mais do que esta premissa inicial sugere, servindo como base para desenvolvimentos narrativos mais profundos.

Apreciei especialmente os elementos de “Alice no País das Maravilhas” presentes na história, que lhe conferem um toque simultaneamente encantador e comovente.

No final, revelou-se uma leitura envolvente, culminando num desfecho emocional e satisfatório que gostei imenso.

In essence, the plot follows four individuals sent to the Heartbreak Hotel, an entity existing outside space and time, where they confront their heartbreaks. Once healed, they can return to real life, with no one ever realizing they were gone.

However, the story is far more layered than this premise suggests, serving as a foundation for deeper narrative developments.

I particularly appreciated the “Alice in Wonderland” elements woven into the tale, adding a whimsical yet poignant touch.

Ultimately, it proved to be an engaging read, culminating in an emotional and satisfying ending that I thoroughly enjoyed.
