📚 Book Review: Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction, Vol. 12
📖 Author(s): Inio Asano
💭 My Thoughts:
No final, adorei a arte, as personagens e a premissa inicial.

🇬🇧 It’s intriguing to see how sharply the ratings for this final volume have dropped on Goodreads. What I find interesting is that, for me, this volume didn’t feel all that different from the rest of the series.
When I went back through my ratings for each volume, I realised I had consistently given most of them 4 stars, with the exception of the first and fourth volumes, which I rated 5 stars. I always felt this series had a clear potential to become something great, but that potential never fully materialised. It’s a solid series, one I don’t regret reading, but it never quite became “great.” That potential remained all the way through to the final volume, yet it never reached a point where everything truly clicked or the story developed a stronger sense of purpose.
Inio Asano is, without question, an exceptionally talented mangaka. His artwork is outstanding, and the series is filled with memorable moments. That said, it almost feels as though his incredible technical skill could only do so much to sustain a storyline that ultimately feels weaker.
In the end, I loved the art, the characters, and the initial premise. But the series ultimately lacked a more cohesive narrative, something that could bring all the pieces together and make it clearer what the story was ultimately trying to convey.
