🇵🇹 Um policial ficcional inspirado em acontecimentos reais.

Albert Londres foi um famoso jornalista de investigação francês, ao ponto de ser apontado por alguns como uma das inspirações para a criação do próprio Tintim. Morreu num naufrágio quando regressava a França, depois de uma viagem à China. O seu corpo nunca foi recuperado, o que deu origem a diversas especulações sobre o que realmente aconteceu e sobre os verdadeiros motivos da sua presença naquele país.

É precisamente dessa aura de mistério que este romance gráfico parte para construir uma resposta, apresentando uma possível versão dos acontecimentos. Naturalmente, trata-se de uma narrativa inteiramente ficcional.

Foi uma leitura bastante agradável. Gostei da forma como o mistério é desenvolvido em torno da investigação conduzida por Albert Londres e da galeria de personagens envolvidas no caso, umas a ajudá-lo, outras determinadas a impedi-lo de chegar à verdade.

O desfecho acabou por me surpreender, sobretudo porque desconhecia por completo tanto a figura de Albert Londres como os acontecimentos reais que serviram de inspiração à história.

É, sem dúvida, uma obra que deverá agradar aos fãs de policiais.

The ending genuinely caught me by surprise, especially since I knew nothing about Albert Londres himself or the real events that inspired the story.

It is certainly a graphic novel that will appeal to fans of crime fiction.
