🇵🇹 Esta foi uma releitura, mas desta vez através da edição inglesa. Já tinha lido a edição portuguesa, publicada em dois volumes, há cerca de três anos.

Em praticamente todos os aspetos, esta edição é superior à portuguesa, o que talvez ajude a explicar porque não houve novos lançamentos ao longo destes três anos. Não só a decisão de dividir o primeiro volume em duas partes foi infeliz, como a qualidade do papel e a reprodução das cores ficam claramente aquém da edição inglesa.

Quanto à história, já a conhecia, mas foi um prazer regressar a ela. Trata-se de uma reinterpretação da mitologia grega com uma abordagem moderna, quase como um romance juvenil. A narrativa visual é excelente, com uma utilização muito eficaz das cores, da composição dos painéis e do ritmo visual. Tudo parece fresco, original e extremamente bem executado.

É, sem dúvida, uma série que pretendo continuar a acompanhar.

🇬🇧 This was a reread, but this time in the English edition. I had already read the Portuguese edition, which was published across two volumes, about three years ago.

In almost every respect, this edition is superior to the Portuguese one, which may help explain why there haven’t been any new releases in the past three years. Not only was the decision to split the first volume into two parts a poor one, but the paper quality and colour reproduction are also noticeably inferior to those of the English edition.

As for the story itself, I was already familiar with it, but it was a pleasure to revisit. It’s a modern retelling of Greek mythology, presented with the feel of a young adult romance. The visual storytelling is excellent, making great use of colour, panel composition, and pacing. Everything feels fresh, original, and exceptionally well crafted.
