🇵🇹 Fiquei agradavelmente surpreendido com esta leitura.

Alexandre Callari faz aqui um excelente trabalho ao criar uma história envolvente de redenção, mas mais do que isso: uma história de luta, força, moralidade e coragem.

Notei que muitos acusam a obra de recorrer a clichés — e sim, eles estão lá. Mas e depois? Qual é o problema? Não conheço nenhuma outra obra do género que faça o mesmo. É claramente inspirada pelos filmes de ação dos anos 90 com Jean-Claude Van Damme, mas no universo da banda desenhada, não encontro paralelo.

Além disso, é uma leitura sólida e bastante divertida. E não será isso o mais importante?

Alan Patrick contribui com uma narrativa visual de grande qualidade, apoiada por uma arte fabulosa. Destaco especialmente as páginas que fazem lembrar ilustrações de cartas de tarot (na falta de melhor comparação) e os momentos em que as emoções ganham forma através de espíritos animais.

Em suma, uma excelente leitura. Recomendo vivamente a quem aprecia este tipo de histórias.

🇬🇧 I was pleasantly surprised by this read.

Alexandre Callari does an excellent job crafting a compelling story of redemption — but more than that, it’s a story about struggle, strength, morality, and courage.

I noticed that many people criticize the work for relying on clichés — and yes, they are there. But so what? What’s the issue? I don’t know any other work in this genre that does quite the same. It’s clearly inspired by 90s action films starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, but in the world of comics, I haven’t come across anything like it.

On top of that, it’s an entertaining and satisfying read. Isn’t that what matters most?

Alan Patrick also delivers excellent visual storytelling with stunning artwork. I especially loved the pages that resemble tarot card illustrations (for lack of a better comparison), and the moments where emotions are portrayed through animal spirits.

All in all, a great read. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of story.
